Performance at the Stadttheater Giessen

We are very proud to have had the opportunity to perform at the prestigious Stadttheater Giessen during our last event. This special moment was captured in a video that is currently circulating widely in Giessen. The video features our heartfelt rendition of the "Gießen-Lied", an ode to the city that has warmly welcomed us, performed by our choir, Die Stimme Afrikas.

Our choir director, Flavien Taymkong, dedicated this song not only to the city but also to the former mayor of Giessen. For him, this performance was a way to say thank you to his new home.

Arriving in 2011 from Cameroon, Flavien is a medical student at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen and hopes to continue his career in this beloved city. "I am now a child of Giessen," he jokes, appreciating the friendliness of the locals and the ease of navigating this charming city.
