Our Performance at the Confirmation Baptism
We were deeply honored to be invited to perform at a modest hall in the small town of Butzbach on Sunday afternoon. Though unassuming at first glance, we transformed the space with rich harmonies that made the walls resonate and created an atmosphere of reverence and joy for everyone present.
The Invitation
When the organizers approached us, they described a solemn yet joyful occasion—a rite of passage for young members of the community. They requested uplifting hymns, soulful spirituals, and gentle acapella passages to accompany the liturgy. We embraced the challenge and spent weeks refining our repertoire to ensure each song resonated with the congregation’s hopes and faith.
Highlights of the Performance
- Opening Hymn: Our opening piece, "Be Still My Soul," wrapped the hall in serene harmonies that set a reverent tone.
- Musical Accompaniment: Vice Maestro Doria led the piano for the classical hymns, while our keyboardist Stéphane expertly handled the contemporary arrangements.
- Community Choir: For the closing anthem, we invited the newly confirmed group to join us onstage, singing "Amazing Grace" in a joyful finale that had everyone raising their voices together.
One parent shared afterwards, “I’ve never been so moved—your harmony truly made the room come alive.” Such feedback reminds us why we sing.

Reflecting on the Day
Under the masterful direction of Principal Maestro Flavien T, with Vice Maestro Doria at the piano for the classical hymns and our keyboardist Stéphane expertly handling the modern arrangements, the fellowship and shared devotion made the day unforgettable. Children beamed as they watched, elders nodded in quiet appreciation, and tears of joy glistened in more than one eye. For us, this was more than a performance—it was a celebration of faith, community, and the unifying power of song.
